At the end of the 2016 Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series season, it was still a Simpson on top of the ranks, but for the first time in the series, it was Chris Simpson on top of the standings. Behind the wheel of his Kevin and Cyndi Trca-owned #32 Longhorn, Chris Simpson was the model of consistency this season with solid top-five finishes at Davenport, 34, Cedar Lake and Oshkosh to capture his first CBC title.
Chris Simpson won the title over Jimmy Mars, with Jason Feger, Bobby Pierce and defending series champion Chad Simpson rounding out the top five. Simpson's car is sponsored by Five Star Shop Services, Cheap Cars, Advanced Machine and Tool, Chase Graphics and Simpson Farms. For more information on Chris Simpson, go to www.chrissimpson32.com.
